Russia's security service launches investigation following complaint by local residents
Russia's regular troops, stationed in Donbas, are engaged in looting activities, according to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
"Civilians on Russia-controlled territories are trying to resist the looting committed by occupation troops. Residents of the village of Mytkovo-Kachkari [in the Novoazovsk district of Donetsk region] prevented the theft of metal constructions of agricultural facilities by servicemen of Russia's 9th separate motorized rifle regiment," says the report published on the web-site of Ukraine's military intelligence on Sunday.
"Reacting to the complaint by local residents, the Federal Security Service of Russia has launched an investigation into the actions of the Russian military," the report says.
Ukraine's intelligence also reports that combined Russian-separatist forces are repeatedly using heavy weapons, banned by the Minsk peace deal. In recent days militants regrouped their forces and deployed 122-mm self-propelled howitzers "Gvozdika" (Carnation) from Donetsk to the town of Horlivka.
Information on the movements of heavy weapons has been reported to OSCE monitors.
